  8.         The tutorial on the Prison Epistles is a verse-by-verse study of the 
  9. biblical books of Ephesians, Colossians, Philippians, and Philemon.  The 
  10. program requires at least CGA. Although the program will run from disk, the 
  11. speed of the program is noticeably better if the files are loaded into a sub-
  12. directory on the hard drive.  
  13.  
  14.         The author makes NO warranties, express or implied, as to the quality 
  15. or performance of the program.  The author will NOT be held liable for any 
  16. direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use 
  17. of this program. Your use of the program indicates your agreement to this 
  18. disclaimer and your release of the author from any form of liability or

  21.         To begin the program, change into the sub-directory where the program 
  22. is loaded (or to the floppy drive where you have your disk).  Type

  26. As each screen comes up, make your selection from the menu at the bottom of 
  27. the screen, normally

  29. HELP            PAGEBACK              CONTINUE              QUIT

  31. using the arrow keys to move to your selection.  If there are hypertext 
  32. buttons on the screen (indicated by black text on a grey background), move to 
  33. them using your mouse or the arrow keys, and press ENTER.  To exit the 
  34. hypertext box, press ENTER again or the left or right button on your mouse.  
  35. If no menu appears at the bottom of the screen, there is more to the screen 
  36. than you see.  Press the ENTER key to bring up the next part of it.

  38.         You should have your Bible, a pen, and paper available as you work 
  39. through the program.  All of the comments in the program are based on the 
  40. Authorized Version of the Bible.  Any re-translations of words and phrases are 
  41. the author's own. Hopefully, you will take your time as you work through the 
  42. comments on Paul's writings.  Jot down new information and additional areas to 
  43. explore.  One of the best things you can do for yourself is to reflect on the 
  44. text and its explanation. Meditation is almost a lost art, but it is still a 
  45. biblical commandment.  I hope the program will encourage you in your Bible 
  46. study.

  48.         I have adopted certain conventions for consistency in the study.  All 
  49. transliterations of Greek words and phrases are in yellow.  Devotional 
  50. thoughts and preaching points are in green. Hypertext comments are in blue 
  51. text on a cyan background. Practical applications are in white text on a 
  52. magenta background.

  54. DISTRIBUTION POLICY

  56.         PRISON EPISTLES is shareware and, as such, may be freely distributed 
  57. by individuals, BBS's, and Shareware Vendors. Because there is a basic 
  58. inconsistency, I am denying the right to distribute the program to any Vendor
